THE (DSF) BELIEVES THAT ENHANCEMENT OF BOTH HUMAN POTENTIAL AND QUALITY OF LIFE IS ACHIEVABLE THROUGH EDUCATION. MANY SONS, DAUGHTERS, AND SPOUSES OF U.S. NAVY SUBMARINERS FACE FINANCIAL OBSTACLES WHILE PURSUING UNDERGRADUATE AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION. The program activities will exist for the purpose of re-allocation of donated funds to local charities and social activities with the emphasis of our Community to refer to immediate neighborhoods and counties in Northern Virginia. The will focus on youth programs, military families, and humanity activities. In order of importance these activities are listed as follows: Military support: 50 of funding to organizations supporting or assisting military personnel and their families. General support: 40 of funding to organizations supporting or assisting needy families. Social activities: 10 of funding to organizations that raise the quality of community life by providing social support and enabling access to those in need. The will provide funds to those operating locally in our community on an immediate as needed basis.

We will focus on supporting young people with a desire to become coaches, with emphasis at the collegiate level in football, although not restricted to that level or sport. We believe coaches have a tremendous power of influence over young people as positive role models. In addition, we plan to support veterans in pursuing a career after their military service has ended, with emphasis on those wishing to become coaches. We believe the discipline and hard work associated with serving in the military translates well into coaching as a profession.

Our mission is to serve our active duty military veterans and their families as they deal with the complexities of PTSD by providing a venue for learning healing and camaraderie using lessons in both individual and group settings that is influenced by therapy. At veterans military members and their families can enroll in individual lessons that are tailored to their skill level - from beginner to virtuoso. In parallel we will facilitate group band sessions that foster camaraderie among students. These sessions will include coaches who are seasoned musicians who will work with the bands to shape their performances. The entire program will be facilitated by a team of therapists who will ensure the instructors and students are both aligned to maximize the output of the lessons. Our therapists are a resource for the military members veterans and their families to use as much or little as they desire.
